Happy Holidays!

Just in time for the holidays we released PhoneTray Dialup 2.37 and PhoneTray Free 1.37. You can download new versions from www.phonetray.com. Upgrading is simple: download and install new version into the same folder where previous version is installed. All your settings, call history and privacy manager numbers will be intact.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! See you all in 2010!

  1. How long does it take to get the license code after making payment? If I’d known it would take days and days I would have paid a little sooner. (maybe you should mention this somewhere) My trial period is now over and still no code! Whats the problem, It’s paid for you should send it out right away.

    1. Hi Ricky! If you pay with a credit card you get the license code right away. PayPal orders are processed manually. We sent you the code on Jan. 4th, it was the first business day after you ordered.

It looks like you don’t receive our emails. I entered the license code as the tracking number for your PayPal order. Please login to your PayPal account and you will see it.

  2. PhoneTray-Free is a terrific product, a pleasure to setup and use. Other similar software that I have tried in the past never worked out in the long run.

The call handling and blocking is wonderful, even though I do not have a voice modem.

One feature I would like to see is the ability to call back a number, maybe from the call log, similar to the dial button on a caller-id unit.

    Thank you.

  3. Just wanted to share this regarding making PhoneTray Free v1.39 work fully with Vista32. I purchased a Hiro H50113 external USB 2.0 voice/fax/CID modem but I could not get it to work right as it would not recognize CID info but would output voice to the telephone using PhoneTray Free. I had to contact the modem manufacture by email for the fix, as I found nothing that would work (including the recommended driver for Vista on the PhoneTray site itself). Turns out the Hiro H50113 driver v2.2.98, which is intended for Win7, will also work with PhoneTray Free on Vista32SP2. That driver can be obtained from:
    http://www.hiroinc.com/drivers/H50113/Windows%207%2032bit.zip

Just to be on the safe side, before using the modem driver with PhoneTray Free I used Hyper Terminal to send the following commands to the H50113:
    Put into Voice Mode: AT+FCLASS=8
    Put into CID Mode: AT+VCID=1

When I tested, using a cell phone, PhoneTray Free “zap” did show the calling number and did output a custom voice message. 🙂
